Vaughn Wascovich, from the series Tar Creek, Picher OklahomaSo i'm in Dallas attending the Society for Photographic Education Conference for the weekend. It's been nice so far, the review I had earlier was interesting and insightful. Hopefully I will have a few more... My colleagues are receiving awards later today in a ceremony- Vaughn Wascovich for his Tar Creek work and Kevin Malella for his Constructed Landscapes work. Both are exceptional landscape photographers and are extremely deserving for their hard work and dedication to their subjects. The weather here has been less than awesome. It is warm and everything is very green but I think I've seen the sun for a total of 5 or 10 minutes.
Dallas is weird. Very modern architecture but very sparsely populated in downtown. It seems like the only people in downtown at night are the people at our conference.
